I had a nice weekend at Q Station, a unique place that blends history with wonderful natural surroundings. The rooms left a bit to be desired, particularly with no air conditioning or opening windows. However, the Boilerhouse restaurant was a good experience, especially with the free wine from the Luxury Escapes package.
Rooms
6.0
The room was comfortable but lacked cross ventilation and windows, making it a bit hot. I was grateful for the ceiling fan, though a sea view would have enhanced my stay significantly.
Service
7.0
The staff were generally pleasant and helpful, but there were moments when they seemed a bit disorganized. I appreciated the responsiveness, especially with requests like ice.
Location
9.0
The location is absolutely stunning. Nestled right in nature, it's a quick ride into the bustling Manly area, yet I could also enjoy a quiet escape with a beach all to myself.
Dining
8.0
I enjoyed my meals at the Boilerhouse, but I felt the menu was a bit limited. Breakfast was solid, and the ambiance was lovely, but a more varied dinner selection would make a big difference.
Facilities

I loved the availability of shuttle services to nearby attractions and the historical tours. The free parking was a bonus, making it easy to explore without the hassle of transport.

I loved the tranquil setting of Q Station, nestled just minutes from Manly. the views of Sydney Harbour are truly amazing. The friendly staff made my stay enjoyable, but the lack of air conditioning was a bit challenging, especially when the heat built up in my room. Overall, it’s a unique experience, but there are areas that need improvement to enhance comfort.

I stayed in a recently refurbished room, which had a modern bathroom. though I found the size a bit cramped and noticed some stains on the carpet. The lack of power outlets was inconvenient, making it hard to charge devices comfortably.

The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. however, I encountered some inconsistencies in the shuttle service, which could be quite slow during peak times and made getting around a bit frustrating.

Q Station is set in a stunning location, right on North Head with beautiful views. it really feels like a getaway while still being close to the city. The grounds were well-kept and provided a peaceful escape.

The food at the Boilerhouse restaurant was fantastic. though the service was a bit slow and dining options seemed limited. I really enjoyed the buffet breakfast – it was a nice way to start the day.

While the grounds are spacious and stunning, the facilities could use some improvements. for instance, the shuttle service could be better organized to reduce wait times, and having no air conditioning made warmer days uncomfortable.

My room was spacious and clean with a comfortable king bed. However, it had no wifi due to a prior storm, and the bathroom design resulted in water everywhere after a shower.

The staff were mostly friendly and welcoming, especially during check-in. However, I did find some gaps in service, like the shuttle timings and information given by the bus drivers.
Location

The location is amazing, with stunning views and a serene atmosphere. Yet, the steep terrain and distance from Manly made transportation challenging.

My stay at Q Station was a mix of good and not-so-good experiences. The location is stunning, right by the harbor and surrounded by nature, which was a huge plus. However, the room was quite small and not what I expected from the deluxe suite I booked. Customer service was hit or miss, with some staff being friendly while others left much to be desired. Overall, it definitely has its charm, but there are areas that need improvement.
Rooms
6.0
The room was small, dark, and lacked adequate amenities. It was not the spacious suite I hoped for, feeling pokey with limited natural light, which was disappointing. Plus, the lack of security without the ability to open windows was a concern.
Service
6.0
While some staff were friendly and helpful, many showed little engagement or effort in customer service. There were moments, like during a safety issue, when the response felt very lacking. Overall, service was inconsistent.

Dining at the Boilerhouse restaurant was a highlight, offering delicious menus in a lovely setting. However, I felt some options were overpriced, which put a damper on the overall experience.
Facilities

Facilities like the shuttle service were helpful, but I expected more considering the price. The common areas were nice, yet I felt there was a lack of essential amenities that should've been in my room.
